ISSUE No. 19 - MAY 2009
Editor: Mike Stanley
Welcome to the nineteenth edition of The Journal.
A reminder that The Journal is published quarterly: February; May; August and November.
The actual date that the Journal appears on the Entry web site is dependant on our esteemed Webmaster. It is worth remembering that he has a life beyond that of the Entry Journal so I suggest that members have a shufti at the web site around the start of the publication month;
Anticipation is better than realisation in a lot of cases, but hopefully not where the journal is concerned!
Thanks Mike. I promise to improve, but see item below re possible end of dial-up connection. W.

Our 81st Bratpages
These bratpages are hosted on a Virgin Net server. Uploading updates is still done by dial-up connection. This method has provided a minimum cost service, including hosting of up to 10Mb of webpages, that I am happy to pay for. However, Virgin are anxious to do away with dial-up in favour of broadband so the life of this set-up is finite. If there is anything in the site you especially treasure you should save it on to your computer or print it out. Any thoughts on obtaining a domain name and hosting at minimum cost will be welcome. My email address is below to the right.

Site News
This is the last of the archived journals to have been transferred to our new webspace hosted by 1 and 1. We now have our own domain name (www.81st entry.co.uk) and site management is now in the hands of Brian Spurway to whom any comments about the site should be directed. Editorial duties are still handled by Mike Stanley.
